The Shoe Pouch™ was designed by Grantwood Technology, LLC to allow runners and walkers to use the Nike+iPod Sport Kit®, which is an excellent product in our opinion (NOTE: the Nike+iPod Sport Kit® is sold separately). Included with this Sport Kit is a sensor that fits inside specially designed Nike® shoes (called Nike+®). But what about people who currently wear other brands of athletic shoes, including Asics®, New Balance®, Reebok®, Saucony®, or even other Nike® brands? Should they be required to spend money just to have the privilege of using this Sport Kit?
In a word...NO.
The Shoe Pouch™ attaches securely to the outside of your shoe:
You attach it through your shoelaces, not over and under them. The loop design is super strong nylon for extra durability
The Pouch has a stretchable fabric (neoprene) with a slit barely wide enough to enclose the sensor. You will definitely feel some resistance when inserting the sensor. For extra security their is some Velcro® to cover the slit.
